Big sky crowds over Presidents weekend?

We're avid tele skiiers, planning our first trip to Big Sky Montana this winter. We were wondering if anyone has feedback regarding whether Big Sky would be crowded over the President's weekend? We've read all about how there are never crowds at Big sky, but we're wondering if there are exceptions to that over big ski weekends like President's day. Any feedback will be greatly appreciated, as we have to make arrangements soon.

thanks!

I would be surprised if very many people drop into Big Sky for a weekend, as it's not easy to reach. With either expensive flights into Bozeman or a 6 hour drive from SLC, I suspect most destination visitors are there for a week. The local population base is too small to generate crowds.

If conditions are good, you will have half hour+ waits for the Lone Peak tram due to its extremely low capacity. But that is true any time.

Given snow reliability issues, the February peak season gives you the best odds with Big Sky IMHO. In addition to my feature article http://www.firsttracksonline.com/index. ... e&sid=1215 , Big Sky has been extensively analyzed in these boards if you do a search.
