Bluebird skies, temps in the 20s. If I can't have fresh snowfall, I'll take this.

Fresh snowfall is needed, however, to cover the crust generated by last weekend's icing event. First run was down Cobrass, fast and hard. Fortunately, this turned out to be the fastest and hardest snow of the day. Other groomers off the Wilderness, Ricker (??) and Timberline chairs were fast but softer and fun. (Sorry, don't have the trail map on me as I write). Off-piste was fine as long as you found lines that others hadn't yet tackled, as it only took one skier to scrape the 4" or so of fresh snow off to reveal the unbreakable crust underneath.
