With all the hang dog posts out there, this feels a little out of place:

Had an excellent 2 hours of skiing this afternoon. Multiple trips through the terrain park, juxtaposing my new-to-me old school daffies, squirrelies, and double twisters with the nu skewl tail-grabbing and board-spinning crowd. Mucho fun. Even gave the old heli a try, 4 times no less, culminating in a 4/5 rotation on the final try. I'll get it pretty soon. Tough to land "switch" when your skis are most definitly _not_ twin tipped.

Even the pipe was quite fun, though the pipe floor is basically toast in the middle. The pipe at BV will prolly be sacrificed after this weekend to Ullr or whatever stupid pseudo-deity is responsible for the dearth of white stuff, and placed on the Nordic altar for some big races we have coming up at the end of March. Ironic that the half pipe, the ultimate new skewl monolith, should serve to allow the oldest form of skiing to continue into the depths of spring...

Cobrass was excellent, with it's semi-southern exposure giving excellent sunshine-induced cornage and new features to do stupid stuff off of. Weaved in and out of some 12 year old ski rats crew the whole way down, doing my hest to show those whipper snappers a thing or two. Spillway and Hard Luck never really softened. Bumps on those two should be good pretty soon, though.

Upper lift is just fine, lifts by the baselodge are OK, too, with some thin and bare spots cropping up. Timberline is done after this weekend without some natural. Today was a great day to be out there, though...
