A frigid start to a good mostly blue sky day at -13F. First day of my annual guys trip where Colo was the chosen location this year. Hit several high speed groomers to start the day to warm the rest of the crews legs up. Then started dropping into the burn where. 3 to 4 inches of light fluf resided partially chpped up. Snow was surprisingly. Soft and or chalky everywhere on the mtn despite last weeks couple of day warm up. In the afternoon we headed up peak 8 doing several laps in imperial bowl including one hike to the summit (just me and Matt). Eventually traversing to peak 7 for a run and a lap on the T-bar to hit horseshoe bowl. Right about 3:15 clouds came in making for flat light. Temps had warmed to about 20 during the afternoon making for a very good ski day.

Didn't take any cell pics so those on the camera will have to wait.

How long did the Lake Chute hike from Imperial take? How long would it take someone from sea level?

It's 160verts straight up the boot pack ladder. It takes around 10 minutes, probably worst case about 15min. The lake chutes are fun but pretty short (maybe 500 vert of pitch?).

Great pix! Looks like you had a great day! I can't wait for it to warm up and get a little sunny this weekend!
