Breckenridge opening Peak 9 tomorrow (Wed)!

It's been a great opening at Breckenridge Ski Resort so far this season, with more terrain open than normal due to the early season snow. Tomorrow they will open Peak 9, adding to the terrain already open on Peak 8. There is a winter storm watch currently, that alternates between a winter storm and a blizzard warning, so there could be even more terrain open by the weekend, what a great way to start off the holiday season.

As of last Saturday Breck led North America in snowfall with 93 inches. While it has probably been overtaken by some Sierra and Utah areas by now, no doubt it's a great opening. More than half open now vs. less than a quarter open at Thanksgiving on average.
 
Yep, the snow is great and with the Dew Tour coming in December, we have a ton of world class snowboarders starting to arrive in town to train. By this weekend, we will have the Norwegian, Australian and Brazilian snowboard teams here.
