hit burke, vt on saturday (my first trip up there). everything they say is true: uncrowded mountain, great terrain, great people, great top to bottom, no lift line, great woods policy, and a slow lift to boot.

conditions were perfect cauderauy on the groomers. honestly, best groomed snow i've ever skiied. non-groomed were mostly dimonds and a few squares that generally had irregular, non-rythmic bumps... with occasional thin cover. great snow, which i'm sure recent snow made even better and probably firmed up there thin cover areas. saturday morning there was any where between 1-4 inches of fresh snow.

i hit up east bowl first thing in the morning. mine were only the second tracks through great powder. wilderness was my favorite trail for bumps, any groomed run was great for cruising and GS turns.

full detailed report with pictures at:
http://www.stormloader.com/theway/ski/burke2002.htm
