Spent an extended weekend in Seattle for a wedding, which was sunny & close to cloudless literally the entire 4 days - that alone made the trip unusual!

Had some good shots of the volcano's flying back including one ski area. Actually had better views on the way in -less haze- but I didn't have a window seat then. Thought I'd share some pics of the mtns with the group.

I too was just at a wedding, my sister's. I was in Rome Italy, and it was ridiculously hot. It was nice visiting europe again. On the flight in I saw that the maritime alps still have plenty of snow. The french alps were still completely covered as well. Someday, I'm going to hit cervinia...

Lets just say that A-basin picked up a couple inches of snow and that there were a lot of unhappy co-workers when I mentioned that I actually saw the sun last weekend. I almost had to duck and run!

Gotta say I'd have preferred to be in Rome even with the heat. I can get to Seattle anytime.

Not to sound jaded, but my sister lives there so I make it at least once a year. The airfare this time around was ridiculously low. I only paid 380... so if you want there may still be a deal out there.

Yes, the economy has put a dent in international airfares. I'm paying $992 to the Far East this summer vs. $1,350 last year. Adam's thinking about Las Lenas: $630 August airfare to Buenos Aires now.
