Colorado Lost Ski Areas

A Colorado website recently posted photos of eight defunct ski areas. Nice shots (I've never seen pix of the former Chautauqua ski terrain in Boulder) but it would've been helpful for them to include a brief description about each.

Of the important ones, only Berthoud Pass and Geneva Basin are missing. While updating the FTO global ski map two years ago, I located many of them and discussed with Tony and EMSC which ones to include.

Interesting to post other peoples Instagram pics of the areas.

For along time there were various plans to revive Chucara as well, but I believe they are finally selling off chunks of the land to various property owners in the area breaking up any opportunity to restart the place (unless you can pull a Les Otten style deal with all of them at once ala the Canyons).

Base area is higher than steamboat and some better N exposures for much of it, but left wondering if overall, the place is just too low in altitude for Stagecoach to be viable long term.
