Scenic, decent day but nothing too spectacular.

Wife backed out from going at the last moment; So I headed up by myself arriving ~9:20am going up Super B and the poma to copper bowl. Hitting Tucker mtn cat as early as possible since it was fairly warm already, with just enough of a breeze to prevent a lot of softening/melt. I made 3rd Cat of the day, though they were only running one cat - again. Seems to be a very rare event that they actually run both. It'll be good when they finally put the chair in, though it'll track up and probably bump up when that happens.

So hit #1 glade top portion before cutting back to #2 for the lower portion. It was a good call as #1 had the only non-wind slab'ed upper portion, and the less dense trees of #2 held cut up boot deep snow from the small few incher's storms during the week. Then hitting various portions of S facing Copper bowl for 3 laps, each with variations of wind crust, partially melted, partially re-frozen, and packed powder. All of it skiable and not too bad, but varying every few hundred vert (and not in a consistent progression - some of the packed powder was lowest, while some of the almost melted was up top).

Anyway, I lapped union bowl a couple times on Sierra lift before heading all the way down and back up the E half again for a couple of laps in Spaulding bowl/resolution. Finally deciding to check out ancient old A lift with it's long vert of bumps which too whatever was left out of my legs. Finally dropping down a groomer to the base of Super B to end my day ~3:30 as overcast was making for some flat light. The front side groomers being quite firm by then. CO needs more new snow. Base depths seem to be mostly fine, but surface conditions could use a good storm cycle of more than a a couple inches. Feb has been rather dry in this neck of the woods.

The only real lines I encountered all day were on the poma (10+ minutes, PITA bottleneck there), though it must have been a mess elsewhere as I heard a few folks complaining in the poma line that they might end up with more lift time than ski time for the day.

A few scenics:
