An old windsurfing phrase: "Don't leave wind to find wind". Ever do that as a snow rider? Three weeks ago my wife insisted we go to Copper with our ski friends over Thanksgiving. I dragged my feet because even though we had NO snow on Bachelor at the time, I've never felt comfortable spending bucks to travel so early.
Naturally, as soon as I'm packing for the flight to Denver, all hell breaks loose here and it DUMPS! I'm back in town and we have a 56" base with 110" so far (this week basically) and still pounding. Going tomorrow.
As for Copper, man we had a great time. Bless her heart, my bride hooks us up to a nice condo at the Village with these killer "Bee Line" tickets, for $200/day for four (tickets incl). We never waited in a line and it was sunny and gorgeous with nice cordoroy. I rented these Nordica Afterburners (170/ 84mm waist) and we skied like banshees for five days. The Super Bee lift rules with 2200' non-stops and there was quite a lot open. Nice looking back bowls.
