Crowds in SoCal on MLK

I was thinking of going to summit on monday, i know mammoth is insanely crowded during MLK, just wanted know what its like at the local resorts,

It'll likely be pretty crazy.. but I hear the snow right now is as good as it gets, minus a powder day. Probably getting there very early or later in the day is the call, and then stay on the east side of the mtn. Also, might want to check to see if Summit is still limiting ticket sales, which may affect yoru plans as well.
 
I was at Summit on Dec. 30 and it is essential to follow all of snowave's recommendations.

Mammoth was not crowded the last 2 days, but I suspect that was due to weather and lack of snow on the upper mountain.
 
yah i ended up just going to mt high again today, woke up a bit late and didnt feel like commiting on the drive to big bear, east was still pretty fun, andill post a TR later.
