First of 4 days on my son Andrew's school break. He's a slow riser so we didn't actually start skiing until 10:30AM. And he didn't ski that much since he needed some boot work.

There had been an inch or two new snow, and by 10:30 the manicured curduroy was no more. It was definitely packed powder, but lots of clumps and irregularities. So not the usuall autopilot skiing, constant adjustments needed.

The west side of the area, particularly the top of the Empire lift, had lots of wind. The main open bowl looked bumpy, but there was quite a bit of blown in snow so it skied pretty well. I took 2 other runs in the Daly Bowl and Daly Chutes. There was some powder there but it was stiff and undoubtedly from the storm a week ago. Similar conditions in Ontario Bowl.

After the usual pigfest lunch I spent the late afternoon on the Bald Mountain side. One difficult foray into Mayflower Bowl. Best snow of the day was probably Perseverance, a wide open bowl at the top draining into a classic DV groomer that had not seen too much traffic. 18,700
