Easter Weekend Forecast

James i'm not Scott.. but the models are pointing to a 6+ event for the NE resorts... NH and Maine are sitting real pretty
The catskills will pick up some snow but most of the qpf will be north and east of them.. i'm sure scott will chime in with a much more detailed forecast.....
 
Latest NWS forecasts are for 8-16" in the Whites and northern ME through tomorrow with snow showers likely to continue through Friday and possibly through the weekend.

Sunday River stretches this to a prediction of 1-2' by tomorrow and tweaks VT/NH in their latest ...

Notice something with the forecasts for this upcoming storm? They all say Maine gets the most. Sorry NH and VT. It happens. It's nothing to be ashamed of, you just don't have as many inches.

Tough for me to take tomorrow off but hoping to get north Friday.
 
That Sunday River quote is something else. Of course occasionally ME gets the jackpot, this much is true. I would love nothing more than to see egg on that resorts Snow Conditions page after all is said and done. Then again, I hate when ski areas try to be meteorologists. Post a link to the weather report and NUFF SAID.

I would be remiss to not mention that Jay Peak cited bestskiweather.com in the emailed report today and quote "Dr. Jim" in today's snow report. Cheers!! Now if we don't get 2' by Sunday, I can blame JR and JP washes its hand clean. :wink: :D

I can't believe I am getting giddy for a snow storm on April 4th, this is starting to look really nice. Jay and MRG, here I come! With Friday off from work, to boot!

Well, from the NWS spotter reports it does appear ME got the jackpot this time, with as much as 17" in Oxford County (Sunday River area, although Bethel itself reports 12" as of 7 a.m.), ~10" in Coos County NH (northern Whites), as much as a foot in northernmost VT and around half a foot in the Sugarbush/MRG/Stowe vicinity.

Some of the mountain reports I've seen so far this morning on overnight snow (on top of varying amounts of new snow Tues/Wed): Sugarbush 7; Stowe 6-8; Jay 8-10; Wildcat 10-12; Cannon 13; Sunday River 16-20; Sugarloaf 16-20. And still snowing ... I'm envious of anyone who gets out there today but I'll get my turns in tomorrow.
