Eastern Townships LODGING?

Hola again! Yep, still planning on Quebec for 3/25-4/10.

Can y'all suggest some CHEAP Hotels/Motels, Lodges, etc. that would be "central" for driving to Owl, Orford, Sutton, and Bromont.
3/27 Owl
3/28 Orford
3/29 Bromont
3/30 Sutton
3/31 Back to Orford (unless others are better)

We'd like someplace that offers a FULL Breakfast Buffet, dinner we'll explore.

Got a good Package at La Maison Hatley, but it seems the nicest Town is Magog???

Read a nice review on Auberge Schweizer????

Gracias!

Sorry Gpaul, I cannot help in this department as I have extremely rarely never stayed in lodging in the area (not in the last 20 years).

Magog is the main area. Eastman isn't bad either, but not as chaming as Magog.

North Hartley is also a very pictoresque and has a ton of Bed&Breakfast. A very good and unfortunately late friend of mine used to own a B&B in North Hartley.

Patrick is right... the two places you should check out are Magog, a great Eastern Townships HQ, and North Hatley (small, really cute, though not quite as central as Magog). I don't know what you consider inexpensive -- especially with the Canadian dollar having recovered so much against the greenback -- but part of the fun of going to Quebec is hanging with the locals, so try to stay at a B&B, where you can spend a lot or a little. Way more fun if you speak French, but absolutely not necessary.

Don't cheap out and stay at at roadside motel or hotel just to save a few shekels. At that time of season, the B&Bs shouldn't be charging full price anyway.

Plug: we have friends who run the B&B "Amour et Amitié" in Magog, and can recommend it.

Tks jamesdeluxe. While we enjoy B&B's more than "roadside motels or hotels". we'll have our 7 y/o with us, which puts a crimp on the whole B&B thing.

So, a Condo or hotel/motel is the way to go, hopefully with a BUFFET breakfast.

Gracias!
