More time on the lower mtn.

Today was warm. Right around the freezing mark with snow squalls coming and going, leaving maybe a half an inch on fresh snow. Today we took Jr up the 'biggest' lift in the beginner zone which has a true 75 foot vert of blue square right at the top of the lift (but also a steep-ish green trail from it too). Getting him used to higher of the ground lifts, steep terrain directly under the chair, etc... But we skied the green Sundance trail for today even though he showed no fear of the blue pitch trying to look down it,etc...

Then after a run of that (about the 5th run of the day) we bumped into one of our neighbors who also have a 5 yr old (they are only 3 weeks apart) which totally changed the dynamic. Neither of them wants to be anything other than first. So not a lot of turning was happening, but oh well, it kept everyone going past normal tiring/bored for additional runs. Speed picked up and I think some learning about controlling speed (and when/how not to) was going on, etc... Basically it's mostly just putting in the miles at this point to learn all the variations & combinations of things. I think we ended up with at least a dozen runs and most of them longer than previous ski days too.

Test of a google plus picture link
[scratch that]

Still can't figure it out and see lots of online complaining about how difficult and non-obvious it is to share any google+/picasa pics outside of that network. Just don't have time to research it or really care about researching it right now.

You have to use the link generated for a Google+ photo in Picasa, as that has a JPG file extension. Make sure that it's publicly available.
