Warmish, lazy half day of skiing. I figured Summit County would be overrun due to a Saturday on a holiday weekend, so stayed with the local option.
2 short beginner runs and two upper mtn blue squares open so far at Eldora. I alternated skiing at speed one run (on Jug, the trail w/ decent pitch) then doing drills the next on the flatter one. A dozen runs in 3 hours before I pulled the plug. A bit scratchy and firm but OK amount of fluff on top in most areas. Surprisingly uncrowded too. Max lift wait was ~10 chairs. One guy commented that it was less crowded than Thanksgiving day itself. Of course I bumped into a few of the ski teamer's parents and groups, but mostly just skied alone.
Going to try my luck at Copper tomorrow, with a 3-5" storm projected...
