Just a quick TR.
After many, many days of way too warm temps finally some cooler air and snow today. Temps in the upper 20s and getting lucky with our timing of a noon-ish arrival. A half inch of snow had fallen and another inch plus fell as we skied. Many places were refrozen ice underneath, but for the most part things skied better than I would have expected. A fair bit of soft stuff to push around in many areas too.
Wife is still coming back from minor knee surgery so she skied all of 2 runs in with us. The 'steep pitch' at the top of Sundance was the one place where the snow remained firm but chalky in the learning areas. My son was game and skied it in a big wedge twice. His first ever Blue square terrain. As always even the inch and a half or so of new snow made things so much better so quickly that it was really not too bad at all for those of us who waited for the storm to come in.
I get the sense that I may try out the real main lift for a run or so late season if my son keeps progressing like this. He still doesn't turn much, but that's fixable at this point.
