Not a ton to say for this weekend (obviously add Sun tomorrow). Started out sunny, but then overcast and cool.

Working a pair of races both days so despite being on the chair ~7:40am; by 4pm I had a total of ~100' of vertical. Not what you'd call a speed record. I'm hoping for a whole extra run or even two tomorrow, but we'll have to see. That's life as a Start Ref.

Anyway I assume any/all of the groomed was similar to the race hill - very firm. Not ice at all, just the very firm groomed stuff you get with no new snow in a week. Perfect for holding a race actually. Hope everyone else is getting some good turns in. At least I have Tahoe coming up in a few days... Though they need even more snow from the latest storms than they're getting so far out there.

Sunday the 8th: Repeat.

Repeat the race (both days SL), repeat the job duties (both days start ref), repeat the weather (both days sunny am, with clouds rolling in mid-pm); though I did double my runs - up to 2 for the day, and it became one of the fastest rides up the canyon I've ever done 8-[ :D .

Predicted snows and colder weather were completely non-existent. Which was perfect for me (and a couple hundred others). Hard work by a huge crew - love it when it all comes together.
