More time with Jr.

A very pleasent and cloudless day. Also a bit breezy, but that only helped to keep the snow from melting. After several days of freeze/thaw last week, Eldora had gotten 4" on Saturday which was just enough to re-cover the beginner terrain and turn it back into packed powder conditions. We showed up a bit later today and still managed to barely squeak into the main lot - it's nice when the rock climbers, bikers, etc.. all start drifting off to other things. Although ironically, apparently a lot of families are just now coming out with little ones as it was probably the most crowded we've seen the beginner lifts all season. We actually had to wait up to 5-7 minutes at times.

Jr had his best day of skiing yet, with a few turns; better, but still not quite there yet with slowing himself via pizza wedging. We let him direct where we go most of the time and he seems to be starting to enjoy it for the most part (crashes excepted, but he only seems to have one or two per ski day when he's trying out new things). He also learned to go uphill via herring bone today for the first time. Not that he can go up steep pitches per se, but no more issues with the slight uphills at lift mazes or etc... He now knows how to do them. Off the hill just before 1pm and back down into the warmth of the front range for some bike riding which (if you couldn't tell) he really, really loves to do.

If he's riding a bike without training wheels at age 4, that's quite good coordination IMHO. Not sure what his day count is now, but off the leash around day 10 or seems likely based upon the experience of Adam (similar age I think) and JSpin's kids (somewhat younger).
