More time teaching.

Another day getting Jr up to speed. Better turns, even a willingness to go a bit faster, but still not fully motivated to slow/stop himself just yet, which is fine. I only hold him back on the 'steeper' sections or as we're about to enter a crowded area near the lift at this point. 6" of new fell just yesterday so everything skied very nicely in the beginner zone.

Another cluster by the brilliant managerial prowess of Bill Killebrew. Parking lots filled beyond capacity again by mid-morning (fortunately well after we arrived), followed by only one of the two front side lifts operating with very large lift lines, etc... Frankly not at all surprised at this point. The few long time employees even around anymore that have a clue how to operate the place have pretty much mentally checked out finally after a brutal season of 'managerial prowess' so I expect ever worse results from here on out anyway. It's all really, really sad, as the best managerial team to ever operate the place had finally been fully assembled just the past couple of seasons; and it had been operating like a real ski hill for a change. At the current pace I expect many small disasters everywhere I turn and fully expect skier visits to begin dropping in future seasons if Bill remains in place.

I'm sure EMSC is counting the days until junior gets a bit more up to speed and he can move on to bigger hills. It's one thing to be confined to a small place, but with incompetent management degrading the experience I'd be looking to be somewhere else. How about Loveland? Still a fairly low key atmosphere with a fair amount of mellow terrain for learning.
