After having been sick the past two days we did a low volume, late start day. Getting up to the mtn at 10:30 and quitting by 2:30, though without any break time. I wasn't feeling very strong (I assume from the no-food Thurs and low-food Fri) and was skiing not so well, especially my first couple of runs. A bit of a mixed bag of skiing as Eldora got maybe 18" total from this weeks series of storms (vs generally 40"+ in the central mtns like breck, copper, vail). So the backsides of steep bumps were scraped down to ice from Thurs/Fri skiers during and after the big up-slope storm. As well as intermittent icy patches on some of the groomers.

Anyway I did hit some of the backside steeps, where lower west ridge is now closed due to the final 30 yard pitch getting baked out in the sun during the warm spell. Not that a few of us locals would be fine finding our way to the bottom else wise, but 95%+ would be at a loss. I also hit a few of the to-remain-nameless areas where a mix of wind crust and a few slots of nice over the boot powder lines could be found. As per Eldora usual, it was gusty out, which eventually due to our decreasing energy level pushed us back to the front side where the wife and I hit several groomers before calling it a day. Headed home and immediately took an hour+ nap as we hope to hit Copper on Sun for a longer day.

Sorry, no action pics today. In fact only took 2 on the ski hill iteslf. Just too focused on actually making it down the hill today.
