I got one run today. Yep.... One. At about 3:45pm. Working a pair of FIS level races this weekend. The snow at Eldora looked good. About an inch of new which would have been a lot of fun on the groomers first thing.
Instead I get to stand around in the start all day, both days. But that's OK, I love racing side of things too. Speaking of which, Ted Ligety and Lindsey Vonn both won today. Hooray for the US team. FIS being very high level races, the field was relatively small, but very good. GS race today, SL on Sunday. Windy and cold first thing, but sun came out nicely for most of the race. No idea who won, etc... Too busy for that aspect as different starts and finish areas between days and, and, and... Park City, Snowbird, Taos, etc.. as well as all of the Colo area teams had at least a few racing. A couple of non-US kids as well on the start sheet though I think they were racing for college teams, so not quite direct from Europe.
