Final day for Eldora.
A kind of weird day. Cooler than the past couple of weekends with a bit of granular on shaded spots but still mostly corn and mashed potatoes. Good time to shut down given the very bare trails facing east on the front face. Well at least those that were natural snow only this year (powderhorn, challenge, liftline, psychopath). Starting with a mix of sun and clouds on the beginner area where only one of four chairlifts were open. Then going over to the main front side lifts for two runs just as a decent now squall came along for the next hour (only dropped a dusting).
Good end of the season for the little guy who got 14 days this season. He was sick several weekends throughout the season preventing more days. Starting still on a leash for a couple days and then skiing true blues by season end (there are no greens off the top of Eldora). His hands have been starting to get a bit wild, especially in the soft mounds of snow. So today I gave him a ski pole to hold out front of him. He loved having it and even requested it at the top of the lifts.
