Elk Meadows, UT

It's DOA as far as you or I are concerned. The Beaver County planning commission has approved a developer's plan to turn it into an uber-private, uber-luxury resort a la The Yellowstone Club.

Right... forgot about that. I remember the Utards on TGR getting upset about the loss of access, but since they're creating a private club, doesn't that mean it's on private (not BLM) land?

I like how that place next to Killington worked the "private" angle for non-members... a decent price on Thurs and Fri (including lunch), and an exorbitant one on weekends.

It's primarily on private land, but they want to expand onto Forest Service land that has residents all in a tizzy because it includes a lake popular for fishing and developer's plans would close off the whole area to non-members.
