First tree-well death of the year

I thought those were rare in the rockies, although common in the pacific ranges. Just goes to show you, ski with a partner in the trees.

We must always show respect for, and be wary of, the presence of tree wells - a long time ago I got caught in one on 7th Heaven at W/B. I was all alone when it happened at about 2pm. Took about a hour to get out of it and no-one was in ear-shot and I did not see another skier until I freed myself. Totally exhausted by the time I got out and lucky to have went in board first. I still love the trees, but safety first is the best policy Brothers.
