A few pics, as SoCal is quite clear from this week's Santa Anas, 85F for 4-5 days.
Catalina Island. Long sliver above it is San Clemente Island. The islands are similar size, but San Clemente has lower mountains and being minimum 55 miles offshore is only visible from the mainland on very clear days. I've seen it from Baldy a couple of times.
Baldy Ski Area blends into the scenery near the middle of this view.
While the plane flew over Baldy, it was quite a distance from the San Bernardino Mts. But Big Bear Lake is visible with Snow Summit and Bear Mountain just behind it. The much larger San Gorgonio and San Jacinto peaks are farther in the distance.
I was greeted by these lights on the hill above admin's neighborhood in SLC. Are we really in Utah?
