You've seen what the weather has been like in these parts, if you have followed the Olympics. The conditions here have been spectacular, with deep bluebird skies and pleasant temps. Our base is at 6300 feet, well above anything near Whistler Blackcomb. Even so, I was pleasantly surprised last weekend to find winter snow after an unusually warm week. My guess is only a thin upper layer did the melt/freeze for a day or so and then it cooled off. The tillers turned over the top layer and brought up the colder snow on the lower slopes and the upper areas stayed chalky. The storm track has been south of us but that changed yesterday. Looks like the jet has moved north into our area so we are back in the chips, so to speak.

This is on the way down to NWX this morning. We have about 10" new since yesterday and my feeling is it's still snowing pretty hard this evening.

There wasn't much crowd pressure even though we haven't had a decent powder day since President's. The snow was a little dense, which was fine because it covered the firm spots. We are approaching the magic 100" mark at mid-mountain. I think we are going to have a great March.

This is about 2/3rds the way up Northwest Express. If it's open on a fresh snow morning I've been coming straight over here for good reason.

Wow! Great pix -- really whets my appetite! After hitting SLC and Steamboat in rather lean times this year, I think we've finally hit the jackpot in our timing at Bachelor.

You've been more than helpful with information on the trails, but one more question -- is there some place for brown-bagging at Bachelor?
