After it started to snow we decided to give it shot for the afternoon and took off from Albany at 11am...got up there and were skiing by 1230. It was snowing all the way up but not really sticking too much till closer to Gore and at Gore it was snowing hard. We skied for 3-4 hrs till they kicked us off the mountain and when we started there was 1-2 inches new...when we left there were 6 or 7. Powder everywhere and it was almost lonely up there. I never realized how vacant that place can be midweek. You will ski for an hour and not see another person besides the lift op. Truely empty.

Oh well powder turns were everywhere and the drive back down the northway took 2 hrs instead of an hour and 20 min. 3 inches of slush back at the house down in the Hudson Valley with reports of up to 10 inches 7 or 8 miles away and up 1,000 feet into the Heldaberg Mtns.

Don't die without a fight...and ol' man winter is fighting!
