Heading to SLC this weekend

I almost forgot to mention that i got invited to go on a trip to SLC with my friend's family. We are staying somewhere in The Canyons, and plan on making day trips to the bird, and either pow mow or snowbasin. I've never been to the canyons before, and would really appreciate some advice in terms of what terrain to ski at what time, to best take advantage of the exposure of the trails (For Spring Skiing). Im also not shure about what kind of shape the northern wasatch mountains are in due to their elevation, considering it hasnt snowed in quite a bit.

Not sure what to tell you about The Canyons, but I'd stick to the Cottonwoods right now for snow pack. Things are likely rather lean both at the Park City resorts and in the lower Ogden areas right now.
