The low Sat. night was 6 and Heavenly reported 1-2" new on Sunday. We parked across Hwy 50 from the gondola and got to the top in an ice-covered gondola about 9 am. It was 10 degrees with gusty East wind.

We skied Orion once, Dipper 4X, then Comet twice before going in to warm my toes. It was much warmer and getting crowded when we got out again. We did Comet and Dipper once more each and CA trail three times before calling it a day at 12:30. 12 runs and about 11.5K.

Thanks for the update. I plan on being there 2.8.2008 for 4 nights, I hope they get some more storms before then. I see long range is looking better for the Tahoe area. :P

I have only skied Heavenly once early - December 2005.

I had no idea there were so many rocks under Comment lift. They have always been covered even during relatively low snow times. Wow!

I always thought it was grassy underneath for the most part.
