Heavy snow falling in Utah

Holy crap! We're supposed to get 4-7 inches at my house at 5,000 feet, and 1-1.5 feet at elevation. I was awake at 3:30 am hacking with this bronchitis I'm battling, and it had just begun snowing. When I got up at 6:30 I already have 6 or 7 inches on the ground! I can't believe how much came down so fast overnight.

It looks like about 4 inches so far on the Snowbird webcam, but that doesn't surprise me much for it would've started snowing at my house before it would've started up there, given that the moisture was coming in on a cold front from the northwest.

Looks like it'll be a great weekend here. I won't be able to get out Saturday  (probably better that way to let me recover, anyway) but we have another storm moving in Sunday.

Deer Valley sure didn't recieve the snow..Between 3-4" fell.. Still had a great time and a fantastic week.. I even caught Alta on a powder day :D
I will post some pics when i get back.

From this morning's avi report:

The storm is winding down, with a few lingering snow showers in the Cottonwoods. Storm totals in the Ogden, Provo and parts of the Cottonwoods are generally around 10?, with up to an inch of water. However, upper Little Cottonwood, enjoying the northwest flow, easily double that number, coming with 26? of snow and 1.34? of water.

That's 26 inches of 5% fluff at Alta.

Sure wish I could get up there today, but I can't. It'll have to wait for tomorrow, when another 4-8 is predicted.
