In my never-ending quest to find dog-friendly places to hike around here, today AmyZ and I went to Deer Valley Resort.

We parked at Silver Lake and hiked to the top of Bald Mountain, up via the Ontario trail and down via the Silver Lake trail. 5.81 miles round-trip with 1,654 feet of elevation gain. The only sign of winter we found (or I should say the dogs found) was a still-frozen puddle in a sheltered location halfway up the mountain.

Wow looks totally different on this side of the Rockies. You don't have to be anywhere near the mtns to tell it's switched to winter up there.

From today's pumpkin patch fun.
