My 9 year old's trip report as submitted to our ski club's newsletter. Let's hope he gets his wish for more white stuff before our trip Christmas week.

My first day of skiing got cancelled because it was 70 degrees. We tried again at Hunter on Friday, December 14th. I got to play hooky

Putting my skis on for the first time was weird. But, I didn't get to put them on until I got to the top of the mountain. This was because there was almost no snow.

There were two ways, or six trails to ski down. First we went down Broadway. It was fun, even though I fell alot. We went down a second time and I only fell twice. Then I got to go down a black diamond trail that should have been called
Humperdink because there were so many humps on it. There was another trail called Mad Box. It was closed and we called it Mud Box because there was so much mud.

Near the end of the day I did a front flip by accident and landed face first in the snow.

We felt lucky to get off the mountain before it started pouring rain.

I hope the next time I go skiing there will be LOTS of snow.
