Managed to drag my sorry ssa outt bed and get to hunter this morning. Had a date go bad with ynnhoJ reklaW Friday night and the cobwebs did'nt leave till I saw the strip of white which was Hellgate and Eisenhower drive (or Pkwy whatebba they call it). Made the 135 miles in 2 hours and 10. One run and I found out I was TOTALLY over dressed. The snow was hero , the skies were blue and the only thing I did well was go "over-the-handlebars". got too fwd and just lost it..like slo mo...tuck roll ...layon back keeping remaining ski in air..God I was good.. Amazing how outta (ski) shape ya can get...The one way down was wonderful hero snow..bare spot right before the lift necessitated the removal of sticks before shuffling on plastic mat to go back up...plastic mat at top made the "curly shuffle" mandatory to reac! h the goods. By noon the whole run had nice small ego-bumps..by 12:30 the night before caught up with me!! The drive up 32/23 made me envious of the fall spectacle that you VT'ers probably take for granted..Simply beautiful. Last note the NW facing slopes did have some natural on them. Small crowd, no lines, nice snow (where it was) gorgeous scenery, Great day
