ah, fresh off a plane by a few hours. bluebird day, days after the the last storm. not to worry, bcc is always good for untracked for weeks of high pressure. no new snow-no problem. this was the least pow depth we would ski during our 9 day stay. 10 inches on a spongy based with no crust anywhere. that's why january rules when the sun comes out-less affect. this aspect is wsw facing and the ultimate in PPP, perfect powder pitch. lesley and i had lapped the heck outta this are all morning and just kept pushin our way skiers left. she laid down a very nice, tight, uniform set o tracks for me to mimic. ah, foofyland!

after 3 days spent at the OR show while i had my way with more wasatch untracked, she was ready for more foof. she was worried that there'd be no untracked after another 3 days of no new and it being a saturday, i said to her, "do you know who yer dealin with? we don't ski tracked snow!" here she goes on a 38 degree lots of turns north facing shot. hmm no new snow in 7 days? go north facing for 18 inches of untracked wholesome goodness. a saturday and not a soul in sight.

after lapping lesleys shot we continued on down another northerly through a killer steep dogleg gully out into this deep, faceshot deep exit.
craigs tightly stitched tracks are lookers right and lesleys left so i thought i'd go down the middle. notice at the end of my run a group of solitude backtrackers wishin they'd gone wher we just went. who needs storms in the foofland with all of this pow layin around?

the most exotic turns of the 9 day foofy extravaganza. lesley's spottin from the top and craig awaits in a safe spot at the bottom just in case the whole thing goes. great snow on a great soft base. no valley smog to view cuz we're below it.

ah mountain view! on our way to the grande target basin we spotted this obscure face with mandatory road gap. the skiing was quite deluxe
on this north facing shot and provided a good 6 inches of new on a stable base. our exploits almost caused a few car accidents from all of the rubbernecking. i gotta call from tgr, they wanted to send a chopper for some extreme camera angles but, i told em it was too good for that.
