Apparently no one is in Jackson yet. Skied there Sat and Sun and never once was the Red Box even filled to more than 50 people. A weekend in Jackson, after two feet of snow fell and no one was skiing. Locals tell me it doesn't get busy until Christmas, so if you can get out there now do so, just as much snow as the Cottonwoods, not at all cold and 4000k of vertical, not to mention the backcountry access. JHMR also has some deal where you ski, stay and lunch for like $76 a day, unreal! I'm a guy with Snowbird tram anxiety, I always fear by the time I get back to Hidden Peak, the mountain will be tracked out. Well have no fear because there are only about 200 people skiing that massive resort right now.

Nice video and photos. Thanks for posting. Hard to beat Jackson in those conditions when there is no one skiing.

PS. Nice tunes. who's the singer?

:-$ Are you suppose to blog about Utah right now and tell everyone how it's the best place on Earth. O:)

Just kidding. Happy to managed to make the trip.

Sounds like Waylon Jennings to me...

Jackson's pre-December 1 snowfall of 118 inches was second to 120 inches in 1988 of the past 44 years. With another 20 since, it's safe to say this year is #1 now. Usually Jackson reaches full operation right around Christmas, but this year a pre-Christmas trip would definitely be worth it.
