Just rolled in from two days&nights at Jay.Simply unbeliveable how much snow theey have for this time of year. There were a couple of bones poking through the glades but easily avoidable.Terrific cover on everything else including the always windscoured Goat Path. Not much left for freshies on wednesday except in the unmarked Dogpatch glade where I got it over my waist.Anything else was a lot of work to get at for a single turn in the fluff.
For glades I skied Beaver Pond,BBP,Canyonland,Kitzwoods,Timbucktu,North glade,Expo glade,Dogpatch and the beginner Bushwhacker glade.Lots of people were taking the Dip but I was alone and diddn't have a ride back. The best glades were Dogpatch and BBP.The best open trails were Powerline on 12/11 @11:00am(carvable creamcheese)and Upper Can Am on 12/12(1" on top of PP,first tracks)
Jay only got an inch out of the system that droped an alleged foot on Strattonon wednesday night.
Terrific conditions at Jay and terrific Trout River Ale at the Belfry.I want to go back!
