Sunday morning, made the trip to Jay with a friend for an some early morning powder skiing. You know - not much to write home about, just 6-8 inches of absolutely awesome snow! Good cover and the snow was just dense enough to minimize bottoming out on the grass below. While hiking up we came across the biggest bear tracks, relatively fresh too, that I had ever seen. A solid 6 inches in diameter, maybe more. Big enough that we didn't want to see him, we actually used the bears tracks as a boot path for part of the hike, go figure.

My friend was a little late on Monday morning at Stowe, so I skied by him on Nosedive as he was hiking up. Good cover, about 8 inches up high and good skiing, although a little crunchy in spots. Just another normal October start to the work week up here in ski country.
