This report is a bit late considering the mild air that is currently in place which will change conditions. Skied last Friday and Saturday at Jay . Overall, the snow pack is about 2 feet below average . This is evident in the glades where the most traveled glades have exposed roots , stumps and rocks. The side country just outside the ski area boundaries provided the best coverage as did not encounter the obstacles that were found in bounds . Glades closest to the ski area boundary also skied fine . Basically packed powder conditions in the glades and on natural snow runs . UN offered good snow and packed powder bumps. Groomers covered by artificial snow were scrapped down to their icy base offering frozen granular and wind blown sheet ice where there was any type of pitch . Runs like the Can Am were completely wind swept offering up exposed rock and ice with snow on skiers right. This trail needs a re forestation program to hold the snow .
