Surprise Powder DAY!!!! Website claimed 1cm and it was dumping that an hour at 8:15am. So i passed on going to Revy, which I enjoyed so much and seemed to have more snow, and I went to Kicking Horse instead. What a good call. I nailed a ton of first tracks and lines which nobody had taken yet. Hooked up with a great local and we starting lapping the chutes. He knew a few entrances to some of the very fresh and very deep snow. The snow was very light and dry and was more like 2-3inches worth. The blow in was great along the ridges and a few other lines i found.
I think we did horse play and main line basically twice.
One of my favorite runs was down the middle of the mountain in one of the mountain bike tracks. The snow was waist deep and tons of fun. Then it puts you out one a run with a roller that gives way for a ton of hang time. So fun!
Tommorrow should be a nice day to bag a few more chutes!
Oh yea and the day before we went out to Rudy's and I bagged a nice chute down the first slope. The snow then was very nice then, I can't wait to see if it gets sunny tommorrow.
