Started the morning without expecations for anything great. Can't complain about first season's tracks in October.

Here's the deal... Killington was good!! We took our first run from the summit (k-1 gondola) down to the glades triple. The snow was strange... soft, firm, crunchy, whatever... obviously man-made snow that received 4 inches of natural snow, followed by rain on Saturday. But, the base depth was very good on the upper mountain. Skiing laps on the Glades Triple was nice... there were 3 runs to chose from, so enough variety to keep from getting bored.

Mid-morning...down to the base area again. Heading below the glades triple area was kinda nasty.. cover was thin, and kept getting thinner down to the base of the k-1, where base depth was only 2 or 3 inches. Rock dodging became the skill of the day on the lower mountain.

Afternoon, the fog rolled in... or was it "cloud"? I dunno, but we were in it. Upper mountain, very low visibility. Skiied the clouds/fog for a few hours. By the afternoon, the runs from the top of the glades triple were nicely bumped. They were soft, forgiving, fun, and had a nice rythm, although not being able to see the bumps through the fog was an added challenge.

The day ended with rain. As we headed down for our last run, dodging more rocks on the lower mountain, the rain started. At this point we were below the cloud/fog, but getting wet.

Snowmaking last night (supposedly). Trails should still be in good shape.
