The storied (here) Kmart crowds of the long Veterans Day weekend had dried up, as had the snowguns and most of the summit cloud by shortly after noon.
A little more variety now. Upload the K1 gondola and ski down to the Glades area, ski the triple chair and 2.5 trails there for awhile, continue partway down Snowden and ski the Poma and 2 trails there (and catch some nice air as the Poma grabs you!), then continue the one trail to K base and gondola again (or car...).
Conditions still fairly milquetoast but typical for early season and good for "wind sprint" cruising. There had been a little more natural the night/morn before and most all was groomed to a nice packed powder, with some slick spots in high traffic areas. There was a line or two of modest moguls under the Glades chair which were fun, despite a few of the troughs starting to wear through.
We're looking at a slight warm up but they should be able to last. Mt Snow says they'll open Sat 11/17 and I imagine most will be falling in line soon.
