Hit Killington early this morning for a run with a Ski Patrol friend.....Clouds and a brilliant orange sunrise to the East and robins egg blue skies above.

Temperature inversion, 12 deg at home in Pomfret and 19 deg at the top of Snowdon.

With conditions as they are right now, no one of normal mental status should be a Killington basher.....

The following trails were ungroomed and had over l2" snow with no bare spots: Superstar, Great Bear, Swirl, old Rams Head line from top down to the new lift station, Upper Chute, skier's right on lower Chute, and a host of others..

Groomers included Upper Skylark, Lower Bittersweet, Header top to bottom, Upper Bunny Buster, Middle Chute, all of Snowshed and again a host of others.

All the surfaces were in super-excellent conditions easily carvable for both tele turns and parallels......

For me, one of God's perfect mornings.
