"Whaddya mean, no coupons today?" Grumble.

I took many runs on my new tele gear: Volkl G20 skis, Rossi combi boots and Voile 3-pin+cables w/risers. Hot damn, I was actually able to buy a turn. :-) I played with variations on "the turn" all day, and was fairly comfortable on any angle slope I tried by the end of the day. Parallels worked well too and by the end of the day I was laying the boards over with parallels nearly as well as with alpine gear, and even trying some (very) small bumps. The choice trail of the day was Bunny Buster.

It was definitely a gore-tex day. On the upside, the place was deserted, it wasn't cold and the snow was loose, soft and fast.

Observations:
Killington Deli? at Rt 4 & Access road makes a great sandwich.
Detachable lifts don't do so well in freezing rain.
Gondolas are a pain with tele gear.
Taped Goretex works (shell), Entrant doesn't (pants).
Untaped goretex doesn't work either. (mitt shells)
168's aren't too short for a scrawny guy like me.
Route 2 from St. Johnsbury to the NH border still sucks. Someone at the VT Dept. of Trans. needs to buy a straightedge.
