Kmart opened today. Same drill as recent years, taking pickup truck to Canyon lift for up/downloading to access Glade chair and Rime trail. The trail remained in clouds most of the day but thankfully they turned the snow guns off early. Great conditions, man made packed powder with solid cover helped by 4" or so of natural. <BR> It was a bit sad to see Kmart pass up a couple of chances to open in Oct, breaking a chain of many many years (says more about economics than the weather), but it's great to be out there again.
