We woke up to 40 degrees and raining. It looked like the day was going to be a total washout. At 10:00, the sun poked out and it was time to boot up. By noon, it was a bluebird clear day. The skiing was fantastic. We concentrated on off-the-beaten-track natural snow trails. The good stuff off Snowdon like Northstar and Great Bear, loops down South Ridge to sample Breakaway with the stinkin' runout down Falls Brook Trail. Five hours of skiing and the only snowmaking trails we skied were Ovation and Vertigo.
