Sunday afternoon was 65 degrees, under bright sunny skies, with some thin, high clouds. By the time I got there at 12:30PM, Superstar was a sea of soft bumps being pounded into submission by the faithful. I was happy to see it's still ski-on ski-off, as I expected to walk.

The top of Skyhawk was open, offering another steep bumps option to the Superstar headwall. You could cut back to Superstar through the trees at the bottom of that first pitch, otherwise it funneled you over to Skylark.

Skylark was the alternate route off the top, with a detour via Bittersweet halfway down. This won't last long, as the bottom of Bittersweet was very thin by late afternoon, and the connection back to the lift was almost gone. It was slightly bumped up, and a nice cruiser for a break before heading back to the bumps on Superstar.

There was talk of hiking to other trails, but the prospects looked dim. When I asked one girl returning from the direction of Cascade if it was worth the hike, "no" was all she said. From the parking lot, all but the upper reaches of Cascade & the Canyon Quad looked like toast. It must have been good last week, though.

And finally, one for CD...

Good pic of that very last 'glade' of every year in the east, thanks for that! Other pix are great too, as usual. Kinda nice to ride a lift again, eh?
