it's no longer top to bottom... but it's still pretty good... ski off the superstar lift to the top of the headwall where the snow disappears... amazing how the top 20% of the headwall vanished in 4 days... hold a gun to my head and i would guess memorial day will wrap it up for them...the hike down to the snow line is about 100 feet as of late thurs...2 major lines are threatening the contiguous run after this initial walk... one is about halfway down right at the end of the middle section that mellows out and the other can be seen in betsy's photo from the 14th... both are about 25 feet in width and extend about 1/2 way across the trail... wed and thurs were 2 more perfect days... temps about 60 at base and 50 at summit by 10am w/ a nice 15 mph wind to cool off on the ride up...no heat and no real mush until late thurs... about 25 people skiing both days... they are doing an outstanding job manicuring the bottom outrun so after the initial hike to drop in, you can still ski onto the lift to load...tickets were 25 bucks and i would guess will stay at that rate till they wrap it up... talked to another local who swears the base is down for average this time even after the epic winter because of a lack of fake blown...i'm 90% sure i'm done... gotta start earning some money and paying the piper for 5 1/2 months of a really really good time... man was this epic...thanks to all for the faithful updates and thanks to marc for the efforts on this site... buddy gil and i are heading back to john smart's summer bump camp at blackcomb during the last week of july... will update!!! be safe all!!!! <BR>later
