Nice spring ski day is bascially what it comes down to. Killington was still skiing on and off the Superstar quad and it seems like the bottom part might loose snow before the top, unlike last year where it was the headwall in trouble. Up top there was a good 10 foot by 10 foot section that was at least 5 feet deep and it appears they are using that snow as an unloading ramp and where ever it is needed. They had a cat parked right next to it. The top headwall seemed buried enough to last a while longer before hiking up there is required. There was also a nice little tree section on the skiers right of the lower headwall area. Just a couple birches to weave in and out of along with small scrapy pines...fun for a few turns. Middle Superstar was all evenly pitched nicely spaced and sized bumps just perfect for ripping zipper line straight down with slushy face shots and over the head explosions from hitting the bumps just right.

Then there was one section that is eating in from the skiers left about 1/2 the way down. That might be the first section that would loose snow but it would be only about 5-10 feet so you could probably either jump it or ski right over the grass. Then the lower annual patch that eats in from skiers right might be next/first to break the trail into peices. Lower superstar was filled with huge bumps that kinda make zipper line bump skiing difficult. I took one big digger there when my tip just jammed right into one of the deep troughs and sent me flying.

Skied right back onto the lift with a little air off the last bumps at the bottom. Made for a fun and it did seem like a long run. Skiing on and off the lift at Memorial Day weekend doesn't happen too often. Last year I think it was already in 3 peices.

Day 31 and my season is now officially over.
