Spent the day at K-Mart, skied all over the mtn. Bear Mt. Outer Limits was especially good. Spent most of the day on Diamonds and double-diamonds, simply to avoid the crowds on all the blues. Lots of people skiing in "herds."

I liked the original resort trails best, with the clunky old lifts. The Poma over at the race course was quite a gem.

Bottom of mts. beginning to turn to sno-cones, guess today's rain should make that phenomena pervasive.

Suprised to see the Skye Peak lodge cafe and shop shuttered at 3:30pm.

Nice "HOT" day, esp. at Bear, where the sun really bore down.

It's clear that Kmart is highly interested in revenue generation. What else would provoke such intense bar code scanner scrutiny each time we passed thru the lift line. More scanners than ski patrol. When I asked the fella what they do with all those scans, I received a lot of rhetoric, summarized to mean "I don't know."

Hey, I didn't see one Ski patrol whole day, though I did see the Budweiser truck backing up to the first aid station at Skye....

Lift attendants didn't seem too interested in attending. A little girl (perhaps 5YO) fell off the lift about 5' after getting on the chair at South Ridge. The attendant slapped the "stop" button, but then gave first attention to resetting the "LOAD HERE" board in the snow while the poor girl was SCREAMING. After the machine operator finally began to bolt from his chamber, the lift operator slowly made his way over to pickup a pole.

Hey, $4.87 for a cheesburger! Wow, they've got that revenue enhancement system in full swing!

Got lots of steep runs in, snow was in good shape, lots of moguls all around the area.

My quest for narrow, winding trails (I'm bored with the boulevards) I came up dry. Even the "Ambassadors" could not give me a good answer.

I'll be spending more time north of K-Mart where value for skier dollar brings more.

dude- try 'Roundabout' off of '4-mile.' Empties right into bottom of South Ridge Triple. Also the unnamed electric pole run to the skier's left of the Glades Triple. Ever skied the 'Toilet Bowl' off Racer's Edge.

I ski there when I play hookey from work midweek. Great area- too many people.

$4.87 for a cheeseburger??? That's peanuts baby!
I just got back from Alta/Snowbird/Brighton, Park City mountain Resort. I don't remember where it was but I got shafted $8.75 for a cheeseburger. $3.50 for a tiny bagel w/creamcheese for breakfast. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner for my daughter and I was averaging about $65 a day
